4 Frame Nucs Available May 2024
Start a strong new hive with Nucs from OPH Beekeeping Supplies expected mid May to late May 2024. Whether you are a beginner beekeeper, want a garden hive or want to increase your number of hives. This comes with a choice of mated Ontario Queen, VSH Italian Vaccinated queen(+$50), VSH Russian Carnolian Vaccinated Queen(+$50), VSH Carnolian Vaccinated Queen(+$50), or buckfast (unvaccinated) plus %20). Our Nucs are of strong quality and have healthy Queens & Nucs. They are very gentle & big honey producers. Includes a cardboard Nuc box. The Nucs are full and ready to be installed into your beehive equipment so that they can expand and grow. **Our recommendation is to wait for Ontario Queens for best success however they are ready late May to mid June depending on mother nature. However, if you are looking for protection against American Foul Brood then I would suggest picking one of the vaccinated queens.For those that want to get started sooner you can choose vaccinated queens or buckfast queens!
Ontario Queens
We have strong 4 frame nucs. These nucs are made with Ontario queens & less chance with problems with shipping queens from abroad where the mated sperm can be affected from not ideal climate control Ontario queens generally produce large colony populations, high honey producers, with gentle and hygienic behavioral traits. Approximate pick up date May 2023 date to be confirmed within two weeks of pick up date. Pick up early morning 8AM-10 AM or 7 PM-10 PM appointment required. We recommend bringing your protective gear when coming to pick up bees. Transportation concerns are your responsibility. We do recommend you pickup in evening when foragers are inside the beehives. Optimal conditions is putting bees in back of pickup with tie down straps you may want to have a netting to cover the bees especially if you are picking up by car transport. We recommend feeding it especially if its new undrawn comb. They are ready to be installed in bigger equipment immediately.
Chilean Nucs
Chile Carniolan/Nunez Queens are bred to be Strong, High Quality, and Healthy.
They are very gentle, and are pre-selected and bred to be big honey producers. These Queens come calm and ready to lay.

We are not responsible for bees becoming overheated once they leave our care.
