Come along with Shawn while he shows you how to do a hive inspection.  He will cover things like examining brood patterns, looking for eggs, doing mite testing, treatment options, signs that you have a well-mated queen, finding the queen, common pests that are affecting honey bees & ways to reduce their effect. Do we have any queen cells & what they could mean?

 

Get some hands on experience, bring your protective gear with you and you might even get some hands on experience helping Shawn with a hive inspection. Available every weekend from June 10th through to end of July depending on weather it could be saturday or sunday.

 

The inspection will be done at our location from 12pm-2pm. Thus time does not include travel time. Some of our bee yards are in Chatham some are in Cottam so it just depends which one Shawn needs to work on.
